A PRACTICAL ENQUIRY CHECKLIST
What to send for a steel casting quotation
A clear enquiry helps us review the manufacturing scope and prepare a quotation that matches the part you need. Send the current drawing revision and the requirements below to leo.wu@wontide.com.cn. Include available 3D files or sample information where useful. Identify any open requirements so they can be discussed during the technical review.

Identify the part and current drawing
Provide the part name, drawing number and current revision. Add available 3D data and any specifications referenced by the drawing. Where several versions are involved, identify the revision and quantity for each one.
Define material and delivery condition
State the complete material standard and grade, heat treatment and whether delivery is required as a cast blank or a machined component. Identify critical interfaces, machining datums, fits and surface requirements.
Distinguish quantities and schedule
Separate sample quantities, expected production batches and estimated annual demand. Include the requested delivery date and relevant project milestones. Tooling, sample and production timing are confirmed after technical review.
State acceptance and documentation requirements
Include the tests, inspection records and approval documents needed for your supplier review and part acceptance.
- Critical characteristics and dimensional reporting requirements.
- Chemistry, mechanical tests and heat or batch traceability.
- Requested material certificates and PPAP submission requirements.
- Any special examination, with its method, coverage and acceptance criteria.
Specify finishing, packing and delivery
Provide the coating specification, areas requiring protection or masking, packing requirements, delivery destination and requested trade terms. Identify marking or labelling needed for receiving and traceability.
Send the enquiry for technical review
Email leo.wu@wontide.com.cn with the drawings and requirements. We review the information before confirming the scope, tooling, samples, price and production timing. If a requirement is undecided, explain its status so it can be addressed during the discussion.

Before you send your drawing
Can I start a discussion before every requirement is final?
Yes. Share the available drawing and explain which items remain open. A preliminary discussion can identify missing information; the final quotation and manufacturing scope require an agreed technical basis.
Why should annual demand and delivery quantity be listed separately?
They describe different requirements. Estimated annual demand provides project context, while the quantity per order or delivery affects production, packing and shipment planning. Please provide both where available.
START WITH YOUR DRAWING
Let’s review your part.
