SUSPENSION MOUNTING COMPONENTS

Upper and lower cast steel torque rod brackets

Upper and lower torque rod brackets are part of Wontide’s axle and mechanical suspension experience. Our catalog also includes a V-rod bracket and a combined upper torque rod and brake chamber bracket. These examples show different drawing-defined bracket arrangements. We review the casting, heat treatment, machining and inspection scope against your own part requirements.

Information to confirm against your drawing
Drawing detailWhat to confirm
Upper or lower torque rod bracketProvide a separate drawing number, revision and quantity for each version. Identify the assembly position and its mounting interfaces.
V-rod or combined bracketState whether the enquiry is for a V-rod bracket or a combined upper torque rod and brake chamber bracket, and include the complete drawing for that arrangement.
Bores and mounting facesMark the datums, fits and geometric relationships between bores, faces and the hole pattern that control assembly.
Cast blank or machined componentIdentify which features are supplied as cast, which are machined and any operations left for later. Agree the inspection requirements for the selected delivery condition.

Names identify representative component families. The approved drawing defines the interfaces and requirements for your part.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Before you send your drawing

Are the upper and lower brackets interchangeable?

Each bracket is manufactured to its own approved drawing. Please identify the assembly position and drawing revision; similar appearance does not establish interchangeability.

Can you review a combined torque rod and brake chamber bracket?

A combined bracket is included in our representative catalog. Send the complete drawing so we can review the casting geometry, interfaces, machining and inspection requirements for your version.
